Truth and Inspiration

Today I have two profound statements from 2 wise individuals...one lived over 2000 years ago, and the other is still alive. Consciously becoming aware of this information creates a life support for success...

How To Know God- Deepak Chopra
" when a person is able to create outcomes in his life while another person merely experiences random events the difference is a choice not taken."

Inspiration

When you are inspired by some great,
purpose, some extraordinary project,
all your thoughts break their bonds;
Your mind transcends limitations,
your consciousness expands in every direction,
and you find yourself in a new, great
and wonderful world.
Dormant forces, faculties, and talents
become alive, and you discover yourself
to be a greater person by far
than you ever dreamed yourself to be.
- Patanjali 1st-3rd Century B.C.
author of the Yoga Sutras

Hi, hope all is well! I check on your site from time to time. I was reading Wayne Dyer’s Power of Intention just yesterday and found the same quote from Patanjali. This event is euphoric when one experiences it. I thought you might like this quote. In Dyer’s book he states, “The most effective means for transcending ordinary and moving into the realm of extraordinary is saying yes more frequently and eliminating no almost completely. I call it saying yes to life.” A lot of times fear of the unknown prevents people from achieving what they desire. They are afraid to leave their comfort zone. Those who can conquer those fears can achieve a higher purpose. What is your take on this?

Yes wonderful book! I truly believe those words. Comfort zone is an interesting things...it seems that the more you go out of it and expand your experiences and conquer fears the more you actually get to experience "comfort." There is a direct correlation between novelty (new experience) and ability and thus comfort. I would also add that along with saying yes...by also saying also, and, & many you further expand awareness of the realization that life exists as a multiplicity of many tangled hierarchies and not in either/or, & black/white modes of interpretation.
